Kirkcaldy Domestic Abuser Child Sexual Abuser
Paul Lowe, a man residing on Piper Crescent in Burntisland, has been found responsible for a prolonged series of violent and controlling behaviors spanning over two years and seven months. The disturbing pattern of abuse included multiple assaults and psychological torment directed at a young girl.

According to court records, Lowe repeatedly subjected the girl to physical violence, which involved squeezing her neck, headbutting her resulting in a broken nose, and threatening her with a knife. His actions extended beyond physical harm, as he also engaged in emotional manipulation by controlling her communications and movements. He demanded photographs from her as proof of her location and repeatedly told her to take her own life, demonstrating a pattern of severe psychological abuse.

The situation escalated when the girl attempted to end her life by taking an overdose. Despite her distress, Lowe refused to call an ambulance, instructing her to handle the situation herself. Fortunately, a friend intervened by contacting emergency services, leading to her hospitalization. This incident underscores the severity of the abuse and the lack of concern for her well-being.

In addition to the physical and emotional abuse, Lowe committed illegal sexual acts with the girl when she was just 15 years old, while he was 17. His misconduct did not stop there; he also breached bail conditions by attempting to contact her again after being ordered not to do so. These actions highlight a pattern of ongoing criminal behavior and disregard for legal restrictions.

Paul Lowe appeared before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court to face the charges. He admitted to offenses under the Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Act 2018, which covers a range of abusive behaviors within domestic relationships, as well as to engaging in sexual activity with a girl under the age of consent. The court also noted that he had violated bail conditions by trying to re-establish contact with the victim.

As the case proceeds, the court has postponed sentencing until October 7 to allow for the preparation of background reports. Lowe was granted bail and released from custody pending the next hearing, but the case continues to draw attention due to the serious nature of the allegations and the ongoing investigation.
