    PAUL HENMAN FROM BOW JAILED FOR CHILD NEGLECT AFTER BABY'S INJURIES IN EAST LONDON

    In August 2009, a disturbing case emerged involving a young man from Bow who was convicted of neglecting a three-week-old infant, resulting in severe injuries that went untreated for hours. Paul Henman, aged 21, was found responsible for allowing the newborn girl to endure significant physical trauma, including four fractured ribs and a damaged ankle, without seeking immediate medical assistance.

    The incident came to light after Henman took the injured baby to a social gathering, where the child's constant screams of pain drew concern from other guests. Despite their insistence that he seek urgent medical help, Henman delayed taking the girl to a doctor until the following evening at around 9 pm. During the court proceedings, Henman admitted to being disturbed by the sound of the baby's suffering, specifically mentioning that he was sickened by the noise of her broken back, yet he failed to act promptly.
