PAUL HEATH FROM MORECAMBE SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF YOUNG GIRL IN LANCASTER
In a harrowing case that has shocked the community of Morecambe, a man named Paul Heath has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of heinous crimes involving a young girl. The offences spanned over a four-year period, during which Heath subjected a schoolgirl to repeated acts of sexual assault and rape. The court heard that the abuse began when the girl was as young as eight years old, making the crimes particularly disturbing and egregious.Judge Robert Altham presided over the case at Preston Crown Court and delivered a sentence of 14 years in prison to Heath, who resides on Buckingham Road in Morecambe. The judge also announced that upon his release, Heath would be subject to an extended licence period of eight years, ensuring close monitoring and supervision for a significant time after his incarceration.
The investigation into Heath’s actions was conducted by Lancashire police, leading to his arrest and subsequent charges. The victim, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, provided evidence that linked Heath to a series of sexual offences committed between August 2011 and August 2015. The allegations included multiple counts of rape, with Heath admitting to six of these charges, as well as an additional count of attempting to rape the young girl.
Furthermore, Heath pleaded guilty to inciting the girl to engage in sexual acts, a charge that underscores the severity of his misconduct. The court also heard that Heath was responsible for creating and distributing indecent photographs of children, with three counts related to these offences committed between 2011 and 2012.
All of these disturbing crimes took place within the Morecambe area, and the case has drawn significant attention from the local community and beyond. The court’s decision reflects the gravity of Heath’s actions and the serious consequences he now faces for his abuse of a vulnerable young girl.
