PAUL FETTIG FROM MONTROSE INVOLVED IN EXTREME PORNOGRAPHY CASE IN ROCHDALE AND PERTH

In a serious case that has drawn significant attention from law enforcement authorities, Paul Fettig, a 49-year-old man originally from Montrose, has admitted to possessing and downloading extensive amounts of illegal and highly disturbing material. The case came to light after Fettig's former partner discovered the illicit content on his computer equipment and promptly contacted the police, leading to his eventual arrest and investigation.

Fettig, who now resides in Heywood, Rochdale, was found to have downloaded over 33 hours of extreme pornography involving animals, a revelation that has shocked the local community and prompted legal action. In addition to this, he was found to have accumulated hundreds of images depicting child abuse, further compounding the severity of his offenses.

The incident was brought before Perth Sheriff Court, where Fettig was scheduled for sentencing. During the proceedings, it was revealed that Fettig had split from his partner of nearly ten years, leaving behind several computer hard drives and a mobile phone. His partner was instructed to dispose of these items if she wished, but instead, she opened them and uncovered the graphic and disturbing content stored within.

Fettig admitted to possessing indecent images of children in Montrose between 2007 and June 2016. He also confessed to having downloaded and viewed extreme pornography involving women and dogs, with the material dating from March 28, 2011, to June 26, 2016. These admissions highlight a prolonged period during which Fettig engaged in illegal activities involving highly inappropriate and disturbing material.

In November 2017, Fettig pleaded guilty to the charges, which included the possession of over 33 hours of extreme pornography involving animals. The court was informed that he had been placed on the sex offenders register and was subject to supervision for 18 months. Additionally, he was ordered to attend a 40-day rehabilitation program aimed at addressing his behavior and preventing future offenses.

Fettig was granted bail under strict conditions, including a prohibition on having unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 16. The case continues to be monitored closely by authorities, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to prevent such disturbing material from proliferating and to protect vulnerable individuals from exploitation and abuse.
