MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH A NUMBER OF ONLINE CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES.
Update 20/02/2026: Paul Hamilton, 33, of no fixed address, has been sentenced to one-year-and-ten-months behind bars at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Thursday (19 February) after he admitted two counts of attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to watch or look at an image of sexual activity and two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.He arrested Hamilton in December last year after learning that he had been communicating sexually with two different online accounts.
He believed both of the accounts to belong to teenage girls at the time.
He admitted to the offences at an earlier hearing in January.
As part of his sentencing, he was put on the Sex Offenders Register for ten years and served with a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

A man has been charged with a number of online child sexual offences.
Paul David Hamilton, 32, of Kidsgrove, has been charged with two counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child and two counts of attempting to cause a child to watch or look at an image of sexual activity.
It comes after officers responded to reports of online child sexual offences in the area on Tuesday (2 December).
Hamilton will appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Wednesday 3 December).
