PAUL BOND FROM SHIREMOOR BUSTED WITH HUNDREDS OF CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN NORTHUMBRIA
In December 2019, authorities from Northumbria Police's paedophile online investigation team (Polit) conducted a raid at the residence of Paul Bond, a 43-year-old man living in Shiremoor. The officers acted on concerns that Bond was in possession of indecent images of children, prompting a thorough investigation and subsequent arrest.During the police operation, multiple electronic devices were seized from Bond's home. Among these devices, some were found to have been deliberately altered or used to delete browsing and download histories, which was a clear violation of the terms set out in a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that had been issued to him in September 2017. This order was designed to restrict Bond's access to certain online content and prevent further offences.
Further examination of the seized devices revealed a disturbing collection of nearly 300 images depicting child abuse. The investigation uncovered that Bond had used specialized software to conceal his activities, making it more difficult for authorities to trace his online behavior. The presence of such software indicated an attempt to evade detection and maintain his illicit collection of images.
Bond faced multiple charges, including three counts of making indecent images of children and two violations of his existing SHPO. His actions prompted a serious legal response, and he was brought before Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing.
On a subsequent court date, Bond, who resides on Kirkland Walk in Shiremoor, was handed a community rehabilitation order that will last for three years. Additionally, the court imposed a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his online activities and access to certain content. As part of his sentence, Bond will also be required to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities and compliance with legal restrictions.
