MAN CONVICTED OF MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENCES AND ASSAULTS
A man has been convicted of over 40 criminal offenses committed against five victims following an investigation by Leeds Safeguarding.Paul Benstock, aged 62, was convicted at Leeds Crown Court on multiple charges, including sexual offences and physical assaults targeting both adults and children.
The charges include 14 counts of rape.
These criminal acts occurred between 1998 and 2020, with the last incident coming to light after one victim reported it to authorities.
Residing at Appletree Court, East Ardsley, Benstock was also linked to the possession and creation of indecent images of children.
This part of the case was uncovered following an operation by the National Crime Agency’s Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command (CEOP).
He was found guilty of these related offenses as well.
He remains in custody pending a hearing at Leeds Crown Court scheduled for 14 August, where he will be formally sentenced.
