SUNDERLAND MAN CAUGHT SENDING SEXUAL MESSAGES TO CHILD

A Sunderland man has been exposed after being caught sending sexual messages and images to what he believed was a 13-year-old child.

Patrick Thompson was confronted today in a sting operation carried out by Guardian Gatekeepers on behalf of Angels of Innocence.

The decoy operation revealed Thompson had engaged in graphic sexual conversations and sent indecent images, despite being told he was speaking to a child.

The confrontation, streamed and recorded by the safeguarding team, left Thompson unable to deny his actions.

Evidence gathered during the sting is now expected to be handed to the police for further investigation.
