PATRICK QUEEN'S BRUTAL CRIMES IN GLASGOW AND EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE SHOCK COMMUNITY
Patrick Queen, a man with a disturbing history of violence and sexual assault, has been convicted of 11 serious charges following a detailed trial held at the High Court in Glasgow. The 37-year-old, who previously served as a soldier, was found guilty of multiple heinous acts that spanned over a five-year period, from 2018 to 2023, across the regions of Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire.
During the proceedings, Queen openly admitted to abusing steroids and acknowledged his violent tendencies.
However, he maintained that any sexual contact he engaged in was consensual, a claim that the jury ultimately rejected after careful deliberation.
The court's verdict paves the way for Queen to face a lengthy prison sentence when he is scheduled to be sentenced next month.
The crimes in question involved two women who became victims of Queen’s violent and abusive behavior.
The first victim endured a series of regular verbal assaults and was physically assaulted by Queen, who subjected her to a relentless pattern of abuse.
The second woman also suffered violence at his hands, with Queen himself admitting to being violent towards her.
In a moment of remorse or perhaps acknowledgment of his actions, Queen told the court, “I have to take accountability and accept it.” Throughout the trial, Queen did not shy away from expressing remorse, describing himself as a “monster” and an “animal,” and emphasizing that his behavior was inexcusable.
Despite this, he also claimed to the jurors that he had changed, stating, “I stand before you a different person.” Prosecutor Imran Bashir highlighted the duality in Queen’s personality, suggesting there were “two Patricks” — one capable of being “pleasant and charming,” and the other “jealous, insecure… who could be abusive.” This portrayal underscored the complex and dangerous nature of Queen’s character.
Following the announcement of the verdicts, Queen displayed a confrontational attitude, directing remarks towards both victims and the police officers present in the courtroom.
His behavior led to him being immediately escorted back to the cells, and the proceedings continued in his absence, leaving a somber and serious atmosphere in the court.
