ST HELENS MAN JAILED FOR THREATENING TO SHARE INTIMATE PHOTOS
A man named Patrick O'Donnell, aged 22 from St Helens, has been sentenced to 19 months in prison after admitting to charges related to threatening to share an intimate photo or video of a woman, as well as perverting the course of justice.The allegations against O'Donnell involved making threats to distribute explicit images or videos to cause harm or distress.
He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court for a series of charges, which included rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, sexual assault, and assault by beating; he was subsequently acquitted of these offences.
On January 31, he was sentenced for the charges he pleaded guilty to.
Detective Constable Lauren Baker, from the Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, remarked: "We recognize the significant emotional trauma and distress caused by offenders like O'Donnell."
