Leicester Birstall Syston Sexual Abuser
A woman who endured a harrowing history of sexual abuse at the hands of her father from the tender age of four has made the decision to waive her right to remain anonymous, shedding light on her painful experiences. The abuse, which spanned over ten years, included not only repeated assaults but also instances of abduction and drugging, with her father, Colin Goss, now 77 years old, being held accountable for his actions.

Her story is one of lifelong trauma, marked by nightmares and emotional scars that continue to affect her to this day. She recounted how her father would drug her and keep her confined in the boot of his car, a terrifying method of abduction that left her feeling helpless and terrified during her childhood. Her account paints a disturbing picture of ongoing abuse, which she endured in various locations, including Birstall, Leicester, and Syston.

Despite numerous attempts by authorities to bring her father to justice over the years, it was only after a prolonged investigation that police were finally able to arrest Goss. His arrest came after a series of failed prosecution efforts, but the evidence eventually proved sufficient for a conviction.

Goss pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to the abuse, and he was sentenced to 18 years in prison. The victim expressed her hope that sharing her story will encourage others who have suffered similar abuse to come forward, seek help, and report their experiences to the authorities. Her courage in speaking out aims to break the silence surrounding such crimes and to provide some measure of justice for her suffering.
