    NORMAN REYNOLDS OF THURGARTON ADMITS ABDUCTION IN ALDBOROUGH

    In September 2003, Norman Reynolds, a 72-year-old resident of Chapel Road, Thurgarton near Cromer, Norfolk, pleaded guilty to the charge of abducting a girl under 16 years old. The court was told that Reynolds admitted the offence in Norwich Crown Court on Thursday, with the explanation that there was no malicious or sexual intent behind his actions.

    The incident occurred in Aldborough, Norfolk, on June 20 of that year. Reynolds was granted unconditional bail as pre-sentence reports are being prepared. His sentencing is scheduled for October 24.

    Judge Simon Barham cautioned Reynolds that all sentencing options remain under consideration and that a custodial sentence could be imposed.
