SEX OFFENDER JAILED AFTER ADMITTING SIX COUNTS OF CHILD ABUSE
A man convicted of sexually abusing a girl over nearly a decade during the 1990s has been sentenced to prison.
Nigel Reeson, aged 58, started assaulting the young girl in 1994, with the abuse occurring repeatedly until the early 2000s.
Cambridge police stated that Reeson engaged in sexual touching on several occasions, including a specific incident where he shared a bath with the girl.
In addition, in 2010, Reeson assaulted another girl at her residence.
A police spokesperson explained: “Last year, the victims came forward with their accounts, leading to Reeson’s arrest at his home on Abbots Drive in Crowland, near Peterborough.
“He admitted to six charges, including indecently assaulting a girl under 14, inciting a girl under 16 to perform an act of gross indecency, and touching a girl for sexual purposes.” Reeson received a prison term of three years and eight months during a hearing at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday, July 26, 2024.
