NIGEL JOHN McLEAN CHARGED WITH MURDER IN NORTHALLERTON

Detectives investigating the death of Julie Anne Mordue have formally charged Nigel John McLean, aged 40, with her murder. The incident occurred at her residence in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, last Tuesday, when she succumbed to multiple stab wounds. McLean, believed to be her boyfriend, is expected to appear before Northallerton magistrates on Monday. The police response involved a sizeable presence in Vicars Croft, including patrol vehicles and forensic officers, as they continued their investigation. Ms. Mordue was taken to Friarage Hospital but was sadly unable to be saved. She is survived by her two young children, who were reportedly not present in the house at the time of the attack.
