Nigel Fisher, who has changed his name to Stacey Fisher, is a convicted sex offender with a history of paedophilia. He is facing potential imprisonment and strict conditions designed to prevent him from contacting minors.
Fisher was scheduled to be sentenced for possessing indecent images of children during a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court. However, the case was adjourned to allow for a psychiatric assessment. The 39-year-old is expected to return to court next month.
During the hearing, Judge Chris Ball QC instructed the prosecution to prepare proposals to restrict Fisher's contact with young people. The judge specified that Fisher should be prohibited from using any device—including cameras—to take or store images of children under 16. Additionally, Fisher should be barred from accessing internet chatrooms, messaging services, or any online platform that could be used to contact children.
Furthermore, Judge Ball indicated that Fisher should not be in the company of any child under 16 without a parent or guardian present and must allow officials responsible for monitoring his compliance to access him.
