In September 2015, Nicholas Collins, a 46-year-old resident of Hittisleigh, faced serious legal consequences after being convicted of multiple charges related to his inappropriate conduct towards a minor. The court found him guilty of sending an explicit image of his genitals to a 14-year-old girl, an act that triggered a police investigation and subsequent legal action.

Collins's misconduct extended beyond the sending of the explicit image.
