March 2017 Facebook creep threatens to put gun to schoolgirl’s head after she refuses to give her phone number A schoolgirl was told by a Facebook pervert that she would have a gun put to her head after refusing to give up her mobile phone number. Nicholas Burns, 24, of Newton-Ie-Willows, Merseyside, threatened to attack the youngster’s dad after telling her he would find her home and family. The girl was left traumatised by a bombardment of vicious messages from Burns, calling her a “f***ing rat” and telling her ‘little girls have lied about being raped’. Yesterday the vile digital predator was put behind bars for eight months for breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order he was given for harassing another child in 2014. The ordeal began when Burns’ latest victim sent him a private message on Facebook by mistake on New Year’s Day, according to the Liverpool Echo. The paedophile responded by asking: “Who is this? Your are gorgeous”, persecutor Christopher Hopkins explained. She then made it clear that she did had not meant to send the message and was under 16. Undeterred, Burns said he was 24 and demanded her phone number. When she declined he began repeatedly “pestering” her. Mr Hopkins said:” He became aggressive and threatening. She started to get scared.” Among the messages was the disturbing question: “Do you know how many girls have lied about being raped?” The prosecutor added: “He told her he was a gangster. He said ‘I will find you family, I will find where you live. I wouldn’t hesitate to put a gun to your head.” After the victim said she told her family about the torrent of abusive messages, Burns called her a “f***ing rat”. Burns admitted two counts of breaching SOPO by contacting a girl under the age of 13 and downloading adult pornography, after police arrested him. He also pleaded guilty to sending malicious communication and possession of cannabis. The paedo was slammed with a 10-year SOPO as well as a three-year community order, for inciting a 12-year-old girl to send indecent images of herself in February 2014.
