NEIL STEPHENS FROM CWMBRAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES

Neil Stephens, a 49-year-old resident of Cwmbran, has been sentenced to a decade behind bars after he pleaded guilty to a series of serious child sex offences. The crimes, which took place between 2012 and 2015, involved a young girl who was under the age of 12 at the time. The court proceedings revealed that Stephens was responsible for multiple heinous acts, including sexual assault, inciting the girl to perform sexual acts, and possessing indecent images of a child.

According to court reports, the abuse only came to light after the young girl was observed crying at her school, prompting concern among teachers and staff. This distress led to an investigation that uncovered the disturbing details of the offences committed by Stephens.
