NEAL MCGOWAN FROM EDINBURGH SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN ESSEX
In a case that has shocked the community, Neal McGowan, a 54-year-old former teacher residing in Dickonsfield, Edinburgh, has been sentenced to ten months in prison after pleading guilty to serious child sex offences in Essex.The incident came to light after McGowan was arrested by Essex Police in March 2016, leading to a court appearance at Chelmsford Crown Court.
During the proceedings, McGowan admitted to multiple charges related to the abuse of a position of trust.
Specifically, he pleaded guilty to two counts of causing or inciting sexual activity with a boy aged between 13 and 17, as well as two counts of making indecent images of a child.
