NEAL DAVIES'S ANIMAL CONVICTION IN SOUTH BENFLEET
In 2022, Neal Davies, born around 1965 and residing at Queensmere, Hadleigh, South Benfleet SS7 3XP, was convicted of neglecting his pet dog. He failed to treat an infected wound on the dog’s leg, which led to weight loss and poor health for the animal.Davies did not obtain the necessary veterinary care for Scrappy, a Staffordshire bull terrier-type dog, resulting in severe neglect. The dog was left to suffer without proper treatment, and Davies also did not investigate or address the underlying causes of Scrappy’s deteriorating condition.

As part of his sentencing, Davies received a six-month prison sentence, which was suspended for 12 months. Additionally, he is banned from dealing with, owning, or keeping any animals for a period of 10 years.
