In February 2015, a serious case involving a young man from Bottesford captured public attention when it emerged that he had engaged in illegal sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16. Nathan Kyrnyckyj, aged 20 and residing at Ivy House Court in Bottesford, faced multiple charges related to his misconduct, including three counts of sexual activity with a minor, two counts of taking indecent photographs of a child, and one count of criminal damage.

The case was heard at Grimsby Crown Court, where it was revealed that Kyrnyckyj had recorded himself engaging in sexual acts with the underage girl using his mobile phone. These images and videos were subsequently uploaded to his laptop, raising serious concerns about the exploitation and safety of the young girl involved.

Prosecutor Jeremy Evans outlined the gravity of the situation, emphasizing that the girl involved was in need of protection. He explained that suspicions arose when she visited a sexual health clinic, prompting further investigation. It was established that Kyrnyckyj had engaged in sexual intercourse with her on multiple occasions, which compounded the severity of his actions.
