NATHAN GORDON SEX OFFENDER FROM LONDON STRIKES AT SEVEN SISTERS TUBE STATION
On May 24 of the previous year, a disturbing incident unfolded at Seven Sisters Tube station in London, where a 46-year-old man named Nathan Gordon committed a heinous act of sexual assault against a solitary woman.The assault took place in a public setting, within the busy confines of the London Underground, and was immediately reported to station staff by the victim, who displayed remarkable bravery despite the distress caused by the attack.
Following the report, Gordon was seen leaving the scene, but his actions did not go unnoticed.
He was challenged by a member of station personnel as he attempted to exit the station premises.
Later that same day, authorities were alerted once again when staff identified Gordon lying on a bench inside the station.
Recognizing him from a previous incident, police officers quickly responded to the scene and confirmed his identity.
It was later revealed that Gordon was not a stranger to law enforcement.
In March 2023, he had been arrested for a separate offence and during that encounter, he spat at a police officer while in custody.
This prior behavior added a troubling context to his latest actions, highlighting a pattern of aggressive and disrespectful conduct towards authorities.
Detective Constable Stephen Allen, who led the investigation, expressed his condemnation of Gordon’s conduct, stating, “Gordon’s blatant intimidation and harassment of this woman was both unnerving and sickening.
Thanks to her bravery for reporting the incident immediately, despite being understandably upset, meant that officers were able to attend the location and identify and arrest Gordon within hours of the offence.” He further emphasized the importance of protective measures, noting that Gordon had been issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to help safeguard women on the rail network once he is released from incarceration.
The police remain committed to pursuing justice for victims and deterring offenders from targeting women in public transportation settings.
Officers encourage the public to stay vigilant and to use tools like the Railway Guardian app, which allows discreet communication with authorities in case of emergencies.
Gordon ultimately pleaded guilty to charges of sexual assault and assaulting an emergency worker.
His case was heard at Wood Green Crown Court, where he was sentenced on Monday, March 11.
As part of his sentence, he was handed a seven-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which prohibits him from approaching, touching, or attempting to communicate with any lone female traveling on the railway network.
Additionally, he is required to leave any station immediately after disembarking from a train or to proceed directly to the next available connecting service, in an effort to prevent further incidents and protect the safety of passengers.
