Derby Chesterfield Child Sexual Abuser
Nathan Bray, a 30-year-old man with connections to Chesterfield and Derby, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison following a series of disturbing online offenses involving a teenage girl. Bray's actions came despite him being under a court-imposed sexual harm prevention order since 2016, which was specifically designed to prevent him from engaging in any form of contact with minors.

Bray exploited various social media platforms to establish communication with the young girl, engaging in grooming behaviors that included sending her explicit images and messages. His conduct was not only a breach of the court order but also a clear violation of the trust placed in him to avoid contact with minors. The court heard that Bray also sent indecent images and went as far as to pose as a minor himself in order to engage the girl in sexual conversations, further demonstrating his predatory behavior.

The sentencing reflects the serious concern authorities have regarding Bray’s ongoing risk to children. Prosecutors emphasized that despite previous legal restrictions, Bray continued to pursue contact with minors online, highlighting the persistent danger he poses. The court’s decision underscores the importance of strict enforcement of court orders and the need to protect vulnerable individuals from repeat offenders like Bray.
