May 2017 Pervert forced girl, 14, to engage in sexual activity and film herself A “controlling” man who had sex with a vulnerable girl aged 14 has been jailed for two-and-a-half years. The youngster told her family about her intimacy with Nathan Bond but was so traumatised she was unable to give police an interview. It transpired Bond that, not only had sex with her, he had also encouraged her to send him videos of her engaged in sex acts and threatened to report her to police for self-harming if she refused. Bond, 22, who was living in Bristol at the time of the offences but has since moved to Hounslow, pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Judge Mark Horton told him: “You knew her to be an exceptionally vulnerable 14-year-old girl who suffered serious abuse from others and was psychologically and emotionally damaged. “You knew that this girl wished and desired a real relationship with you, because she sought an end to the emotional damage that she had already suffered from others. “Your sexual and emotional abuse has compounded the damage she has already suffered. “It left her, quite wrongly, blaming herself.” Bond was told to register as a sex offender for ten years and was made the subject of a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order designed to stop him re-offending. He was ordered to pay £170 court costs. Jennifer Tallentire, prosecuting, said when matters came to light Bond’s mobile phone and laptop computer were analysed, showing messages of an explicit nature. Miss Tallentire said: “He was encouraging her to do sex acts and film them and take pictures of herself and send them to him. “He was telling her he would go to the police and report her for self-harming if she didn’t do what he said.” The judge confirmed that, from his reading of the case, Bond had encouraged the child to carry out an “extremely painful” act on herself. The messages spanned two weeks, Bristol Crown Court heard. Bond, of previous good character, admitted he had sex with the girl “on a couple of occasions”.
