NATHAN BANNING FROM HIGH WYCOMBE JAILED FOR CHILD INDECENT IMAGES AND TASER DISCOVERY
In October 2013, a disturbing case unfolded involving Nathan Banning, a 25-year-old resident of High Wycombe, who was brought before Aylesbury Crown Court to face serious criminal charges.Banning, who had previously volunteered as a scout, was found guilty of possessing a large collection of indecent images depicting children, a crime that has shocked the local community and raised concerns about the safety of minors.
The court proceedings revealed that authorities had conducted a search of Banning’s residence, during which a significant number of illicit images were discovered stored on his computer.
The images, which depicted children in various compromising and illegal situations, were deemed to be of a highly disturbing nature.
The investigation also uncovered a stun gun, commonly known as a taser, which Banning possessed at the time of the search.
This additional possession raised further alarm about his potential for harm and his access to dangerous devices.
During the hearing, Banning pleaded guilty to two serious charges: the possession of child sexual abuse images and the possession of a taser.

The judge sentenced Banning to a total of 34 months in prison.
Under the terms of the sentence, he is required to serve half of this time behind bars, with the remaining period to be served on license, subject to conditions aimed at monitoring his behavior and preventing further offenses.
In addition to his imprisonment, Banning was issued a sexual offences prevention order, which will remain in effect until further notice.
This order is designed to restrict his activities and prevent any potential reoffending related to sexual misconduct.
Furthermore, he has been placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely, ensuring that authorities can closely monitor his movements and activities for the foreseeable future.
