NAM NGUYEN FROM LONDON CONVICTED FOR BRUTAL ASSAULT AND RAPE IN TULSE HILL
A man from South London, identified as Nam Nguyen, has been found guilty of a series of heinous crimes committed against a woman in the Tulse Hill area. The disturbing incident took place over a harrowing 10-day period in September 2023, during which Nguyen exerted control over the victim’s life through a relentless campaign of physical violence and emotional torment.
According to reports, Nguyen held the woman captive inside a flat located in Tulse Hill, subjecting her to vicious assaults and emotional abuse.
The victim, in a desperate bid for escape, managed to leap from a window of the flat and fled to a nearby care home.
She was discovered there with severe injuries to her face and body, indicating the brutality of her ordeal.
Investigations revealed that the woman had been raped and repeatedly attacked during her captivity.
The severity of her injuries and the nature of the abuse prompted immediate action from law enforcement authorities.
Officers responded swiftly to the scene and launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
Nam Nguyen was identified as the suspect shortly thereafter and was apprehended in close proximity to the scene.
During police interviews, the victim provided detailed accounts of the horrific abuse she endured, including vicious assaults that resulted in a fractured spine.
Her testimony was instrumental in building the case against Nguyen.
Detective Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh, who oversees policing in Lambeth and Southwark, expressed his sentiments regarding the case.
He stated, “It’s hard to imagine the pain and suffering this woman went through, and I am pleased the man responsible for these awful crimes has been brought to justice.
This is some of the worst offending our detectives have ever seen, and I do not underestimate the impact having to speak at length about this has had on the victim.” He further assured ongoing support for the victim and emphasized the complexity of the investigation.
“We will continue to support her in any way we can.
This has been an incredibly complex investigation, and I hope this outcome demonstrates how the Met is committed to tackling violence against women and girls.
We will continue to ensure dangerous and predatory men face the consequences of their actions.” Nguyen, aged 26 and described as having no fixed address, was convicted of multiple serious charges at Inner London Crown Court on Monday, March 18.
The charges include false imprisonment, wounding with intent, threats to kill, grievous bodily harm with intent, rape, actual bodily harm, administering a noxious thing, and sexual assault.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Friday, May 24, at the same court, where the full extent of justice will be served for the brutal crimes committed in Tulse Hill, London.
