MYLES ALLAN FROM FIFE CAUGHT IN SHOCKING UPSKIRT PICTURE SCANDAL IN WEST LOTHIAN
In July 2019, a disturbing incident unfolded involving Myles Allan, a man with ties to Fife, who was involved in a serious breach of privacy and trust at a workplace in West Lothian.Allan, aged 44, was found guilty of secretly capturing explicit images of his former boss using a mobile phone, an act that has sparked outrage and concern over workplace safety and personal boundaries.
According to court proceedings, Allan took two photographs and recorded two video clips of the woman’s thighs while she was seated at her desk within an office environment in West Lothian.
The victim, who was his former employer, was unaware of his actions at the time.
Allan claimed that the images were taken accidentally when he brushed his hand against his phone, a defense that was ultimately rejected by the court.
The incident was initially reported after the images were discovered on his devices, leading to a police investigation.
During the trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court earlier this year, Allan was convicted of voyeurism—a serious criminal offense.
The court heard that Allan’s actions were not merely accidental but deliberate, with the intent to humiliate the woman.
The victim herself stated that she did not perceive any sexual element to the act; instead, she believed that Allan’s motive was to embarrass her, especially given that she had recently been reprimanded about her work performance.
Sheriff Graham Primrose QC emphasized the gravity of the offense, describing it as a significant breach of workplace trust and personal privacy.
In sentencing, the sheriff ordered Allan to register as a sex offender and placed him under a supervision order for nine months.
Additionally, Allan was ordered to pay his victim £400 in compensation.
The court highlighted the seriousness of the offense, noting that Allan’s actions had caused her considerable distress and humiliation.
Allan’s background in football management includes a career that began at Burntisland Shipyard and Dundonald, followed by stints at Sauchie and Rosyth Juniors.
He later joined Berwick Rangers as a first team scout in 2016, eventually earning a promotion to first team coach.
After his departure from Berwick Rangers, Allan, a married man and father of two, continued his coaching career with Jeanfield Swifts women’s team in March 2019.
The incident came to light after Allan’s former manager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, discovered the images stored on his work laptop.
She described her reaction as one of shock and disgust upon viewing the photographs, which depicted her thighs and underwear while she was wearing a dress.
She recounted feeling humiliated and betrayed, especially since she trusted Allan as a colleague and coach.
Her distress was compounded when she contacted her husband and subsequently reported the matter to the police.
During the trial, Allan admitted to taking the images following an argument with his former boss but insisted that he had deleted them immediately.
However, evidence showed that copies of the images had been uploaded from his phone to his work laptop via iCloud, leading to his eventual arrest and charges.
The court found that Allan operated equipment beneath the clothing of a woman with the intent to observe her genitals, buttocks, or underwear, and that he had positioned his mobile phone to capture images and videos of her legs and underwear at a premises in West Lothian on July 16, 2019.
His actions have been condemned as a gross violation of personal privacy and trust, leaving a lasting impact on the victim and raising serious concerns about workplace conduct and personal safety.
