MUSTAFA MEHMET'S HORRIFIC CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LONDON REVEALED
Police authorities in London are urgently appealing for any potential victims of Mustafa Mehmet, who may not have yet come forward, to do so now.This plea comes in the wake of Mehmet's recent conviction for a series of heinous child sex offences committed over several years.
Mustafa Mehmet, aged 34 and residing at Malden Court, N4, was found guilty of multiple serious charges related to the sexual abuse of a young girl.
The offences included the repeated rape of the girl, exploiting a relationship with her mother to facilitate access, as well as causing her to engage in sexual acts and watch sexual acts performed by others.
Additionally, Mehmet was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).
The verdict was delivered on Friday, 6 December, at Wood Green Crown Court, where a jury unanimously found Mehmet guilty of all charges.
Following the conviction, he was remanded into custody, and the court scheduled his sentencing for Friday, 31 January 2025.
The criminal acts spanned a distressing period of three years, beginning in the mid-2000s, with the abuse starting when the victim was only eight years old.
The prolonged nature of the abuse underscores the severity and the calculated manner in which Mehmet exploited his position and relationship to carry out these crimes.
Detectives from the Central East Child Abuse Investigation Team have been actively working to identify any additional victims who may have been targeted by Mehmet.
They are urging anyone who has experienced abuse at his hands to come forward and report their experiences to the police.
The investigation was initiated after the victim courageously reported the offences in 2019, which eventually led to Mehmet's arrest and subsequent charges in January 2024.
Throughout the investigation and trial, local law enforcement officers provided support to the victim, recognizing the bravery required to take the initial step of reporting such traumatic experiences.
The authorities emphasize their commitment to uncovering the full extent of Mehmet’s crimes and ensuring justice is served for all potential victims.
