BUSINESSMAN JAILED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT ON BA FLIGHT AFTER VODKA BINGE
Murad Sabir, 42, was arrested on the tarmac at Heathrow after the eight-hour British Airways flight on November 5 last year.
The prosecution stated he was intoxicated and sexually assaulted a female cabin crew member, touching her breast over her clothing and grabbing another crew member by the back of the head.
Several witnesses observed the assault, and passengers tried to intervene as Sabir’s behavior became threatening.
He was charged with one count of sexual assault, three counts of assault by beating, and entering an aircraft when drunk.
Sabir appeared in court denying the charges, and was released on unconditional bail ahead of a plea and trial at Isleworth Crown Court scheduled for February 3.
