MOHAMMED RAHMAN FROM LONDON SENTENCED IN USA FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING MINOR IN MISSOURI
In a case that has sent shockwaves through both the local community and international borders, Mohammed Rahman, a man originally from London, was sentenced to three years in prison in the United States for engaging in sexual activities with a minor.The incident unfolded in Buchanan County, Missouri, and the legal proceedings revealed disturbing details about the case.
According to court records and statements from prosecutors, the troubling sequence of events began in the summer of 2012, when Mr.
Rahman started communicating via email with a girl who was only 14 years old at the time.
These exchanges included not only messages but also explicit photographs, which raised serious concerns among her parents.
Despite their clear warnings and requests for him to cease contact, Mr.
Rahman persisted in his communication with the young girl.
The situation escalated in December of the previous year when Mr.
Rahman admitted to purchasing a plane ticket from England to the United States with the intent to meet the girl in person.
His plans culminated at the Super 8 Motel located at the intersection of U.S.
Highway 169 and Interstate 29, where police found him in a room with the minor.
Authorities confirmed that the two had engaged in sexual activity at the motel and also at the girl’s residence, further compounding the severity of the case.
During the court proceedings, Judge Patrick Robb addressed Mr.
Rahman directly, emphasizing that he had made a conscious decision to commit a criminal act.

Rahman pleaded guilty to the felony charge of second-degree statutory rape, acknowledging his involvement in the illegal acts.

He was sentenced to serve three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with the maximum penalty for his crime being seven years.
