In a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat sexual crimes in Rochdale and surrounding areas, Mohammed Miah, a man with a long history of sexual offending, has been convicted and sentenced for a serious sexual assault that took place in North Wales in 2007. The 41-year-old, who was found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl, received a prison term of 12 years at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court.
