MANCHESTER MAN MOHAMMED HUSSAIN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR BRUTAL SEX ATTACKS ON THREE WOMEN
Mohammed Hussain has received a prison sentence of at least twelve years after being convicted of serious sexual offences committed against three women in Manchester.The incidents occurred in the early hours of August 10, 2022, in the Cheetham Hill area, where Hussain attacked and severely assaulted three women working as sex workers.
He pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including intentional strangulation, rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, and causing actual bodily harm.
The sentencing took place in his absence, as Hussain chose not to attend court.
The women involved reported that Hussain initially appeared amicable and approachable, but suddenly turned violent after paying for sex.
They described how he strangled them and pushed them to the ground, causing them intense fear that he might kill them.
Despite their pleas for him to stop, he continued his assault, mocking and humiliating them.
An interruption by a passerby during his first attack, and a successful escape by one victim when she managed to pull his trousers down, ended the assaults.
Law enforcement quickly identified Hussain via CCTV footage, and a search of his residence uncovered a man bag he had been carrying during the attacks, which contained blood from one of the victims.
Detective Sergeant Natasha Feerick from Greater Manchester Police commended the bravery of the victims and highlighted that their cooperation was crucial in bringing Hussain to justice.
She also noted that victims often suffer from disbelief when reporting crimes linked to their work but emphasized that everyone has control over their own bodies and deserves respect and safety.
Tragically, she disclosed that one victim has died since reporting the crimes, while the two remaining alive had initially consented to sexual acts in exchange for payment but were nonetheless subjected to brutal assault.
The court's ruling reinforces the importance of supporting victims and ensuring that offenders are held accountable, with Hussain’s sentence serving as a warning to prevent future harm.
Authorities continue to encourage victims of sexual offences to come forward and report incidents without fear of ridicule or not being believed.
