FIFE RAPIST BEHIND BARS AFTER BRAVE WOMEN GIVE EVIDENCE
Fife police have praised the brave women whose courageous testimonies helped imprison Mohammed Ben El Hassan, aged 35, of Masterton Road, who was convicted of rape and serious assault charges in Dunfermline during 2010 and 2011.Detective Chief Inspector David McLaren, who led the investigations, stated, "These women were subjected to horrific and violent attacks by El Hassan.
I wish to pay tribute to the bravery of these women in coming forward and giving evidence which led to these convictions." He also expressed gratitude to the families of the victims for their support and emphasized that El Hassan presents a real threat to women.
As a result, he will spend a significant period behind bars.
McLaren added, "Such incidents are thankfully very rare in Fife, where recorded violent crime was reduced by 25.8 percent during the past year, and the detection rate for serious violent crime has improved."
