Coventry Man Jailed for Repeated Rape Attacks on Prostitutes

A man named Mohammed Asker from Paradise House, Eden Street, Paradise, Coventry, has been convicted of targeting prostitutes in the city. He carried out three separate attacks within a three-week period late last year. Asker, aged 29 at the time, pleaded guilty to two counts of rape at Coventry Crown Court and was subsequently sentenced to nine years in prison. A third count of rape was ordered to be filed away. His first assault occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. on October 31, when he drove a 22-year-old woman to a large car park behind Foleshill Social Club on Foleshill Road, where he raped her. The following week, on November 8, he targeted another woman at the same location, threatening her with a metal bar before raping her. Asker was apprehended on October 21 during an assault on another woman after police responded to screams heard in the Foleshill Social Club car park, where he was found with a woman. He has been in custody since the attacks, and his criminal actions have resulted in a nine-year imprisonment sentence.
