MOHAMMED AMINU AND SHOCKING SEXUAL OFFENSES IN LONDON
A man from Lewisham, London, identified as Mohammed Aminu, has been convicted of multiple serious sexual offenses, including engaging in inappropriate communication with a minor and committing three separate sexual assaults. The incidents span a brief but troubling period, highlighting a pattern of escalating criminal behavior.
Aminu, aged 25 and residing on Nightingale Grove in Hither Green, appeared before Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, October 20.
During the hearing, he pleaded guilty to four separate charges related to his misconduct.
The court was informed that on March 22 of the previous year, Aminu sexually assaulted two teenage girls by touching them inappropriately.
These acts of assault involved minors aged 14 and 16, respectively, and constituted serious violations of their personal boundaries and safety.
The following day, Aminu engaged in sexually explicit communication with a 14-year-old girl, discussing the possibility of sexual intercourse.
This exchange was part of a series of concerning behaviors that demonstrated a pattern of predatory conduct.
Additionally, Aminu admitted to sexually assaulting a third individual on March 25, further compounding the severity of his offenses.
These criminal acts occurred just weeks after Aminu was found guilty of stalking a woman at Lewisham Shopping Centre.
The stalking incident took place between May and July of the previous year, during which he followed and harassed the woman within the shopping center premises.
In February 2023, Aminu was convicted of this stalking behavior, and in May of the same year, he was sentenced to six weeks in jail for that offense.
The court, presided over by Judge Jonathan Mann KC, was told that Aminu’s recent offenses indicate a disturbing escalation in his criminal activity.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence report to be prepared before determining the appropriate punishment.
Addressing Aminu directly, Judge Mann remarked, “Your offending in all of these occasions shows a worrying escalation from what you’ve done before.” As of now, Aminu remains in custody, awaiting sentencing.
The case underscores the ongoing concerns about safeguarding minors and the importance of addressing sexual offenses with the utmost seriousness in the London area.
