MOHAMMAD ALL OUSH AND THE ATTACKS IN LONDON UNDERGROUND STATIONS

A man identified as Mohammad Yahia Alloush, aged 26, has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison after being convicted of a series of sexual assaults targeting women near London Underground stations.

His offending spree, which took place over a two-week period in 2021, caused significant concern and fear among local residents and commuters.

Alloush's criminal activities included three separate attacks against women in North West London, with the assaults occurring in quick succession in September of that year.

Following his conviction, he received a prison term of four years and eleven months.

Additionally, a Sexual Harm Prevention Order was imposed on him, banning him from being within 50 metres of any tube, train, or bus stop in London from 7pm to 7am for the next seven years.

The case was detailed at Harrow Crown Court, where a detective involved in the investigation described Alloush as a 'cowardly, predatory offender.' The first attack was recorded on September 5 at Dollis Hill Underground Station.

CCTV footage showed Alloush loitering near the station for approximately 20 minutes before following a woman out of the station.

The footage then captured him trailing her along several streets before violently assaulting and sexually assaulting her.

Just days after this incident, on September 11, Alloush confronted a second woman leaving the same station.

He demanded money from her and subsequently assaulted her sexually before fleeing the scene.

His spree continued on September 16, when he was seen leaving Neasden Underground Station and then approached a third woman in a nearby alleyway.

He assaulted her sexually and stole her headphones before fleeing.

Authorities identified Alloush through CCTV footage captured at Dollis Hill Station on the night of his first attack.

The footage revealed him tapping his Oyster card to re-enter the station, which was registered to his home address.

Police arrested him while he was on his way to work.

During subsequent searches, investigators recovered a distinctive black and white striped T-shirt worn by Alloush during the first assault—seen in the CCTV footage—and the headphones stolen during his third attack, found in his bedroom.

Moreover, forensic analysis linked Alloush to the assault on the first victim via DNA evidence.

His mobile phone was also examined extensively; data retrieved placed him near the crime scenes at the relevant times, confirming his presence.

The victims took the stand during the court proceedings, providing impact statements that revealed the profound effect of the assaults.

They described how they now fear leaving their homes after dark.

One victim shared that they now carry a colour spray and a whistle as safety measures to deter potential attackers.

Detective Constable Matthew Chapman expressed his thoughts on the case, stating, 'Mohammad Alloush is a cowardly, predatory offender who targeted women near underground stations.

His actions were escalating when he was finally caught, and the areas of North West London are now safer with him behind bars.' He also credited the victims for their bravery in giving evidence, noting that Alloush initially denied involvement but changed his plea to guilty on the first day of trial.
