Slough Animal Abuser
Mohamed Fida, born in April 1985 and residing on Colonial Road in Slough, has been convicted of severe animal neglect involving an American bulldog named Bruiser. The case drew significant attention after authorities uncovered the extent of the abuse inflicted upon the dog, which was found in a deplorable state.

Fida pleaded guilty to charges of neglect, which highlighted the neglectful conditions Bruiser endured. The dog was kept predominantly outside, a situation that contributed to his suffering. When council officers arrived to investigate, they discovered Bruiser covered in open sores, a clear sign of prolonged neglect and poor living conditions. The dog was lying on hard flooring, surrounded by his own excrement, which further underscored the neglectful environment he was subjected to.

Despite the officers' efforts to assist, Bruiser showed little response, ignoring their presence and struggling to stand. His condition was so dire that he could barely get to his feet, indicating the extent of his suffering and the neglect he had endured over time. The distressing images of Bruiser, both before and after rescue, circulated widely, showing the stark contrast between his suffering and his subsequent recovery.

Fortunately, Bruiser was eventually re-homed and given a new name, Dougie, symbolizing a fresh start away from his abusive past. The case resulted in a sentencing that included a six-month community order, coupled with a three-month curfew, aimed at monitoring Fida’s compliance. Additionally, Fida was ordered to pay costs amounting to £2,085. He was also banned from keeping animals for a period of three years, although this ban expired in April 2020.

The case was reported by the Slough Express, bringing to light the serious issue of animal neglect and the importance of animal welfare enforcement in the area.
