When she regained consciousness, she found Gleave using her phone and demanding money, asking if she had any cash at home.
His grip on her neck persisted, causing her to lose consciousness multiple times during the ordeal.
During the attack, Gleave sat on top of her, covering her mouth to silence her screams, and punched her on the side of her body.
Despite her efforts to call for help by shouting out of a nearby window, Gleave threatened to kill her, heightening the terror of the situation.
After Gleave left the house, the victim managed to escape and sought help from neighbors, leading to the police being called to the scene.
Subsequent investigations led to Gleave being charged with multiple offenses, including rape, attempted choking with intent, making threats to kill, assault, and robbery.
