MITCH TOMKINS SENTENCED IN LONDON FOR SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN IN ASHFORD
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community, Mitch Tomkins, a 43-year-old man from London, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being convicted of sexually abusing three young girls in Ashford.
The heinous crimes came to light during a trial held at Canterbury Crown Court, where the jury found him guilty on 12 counts of sexual abuse despite his vehement denial.
Tomkins, a former soldier, attempted to justify his actions by claiming that one of the victims, who was only five years old at the time, had fabricated her story.
He argued that he was suffering from a medical condition that supposedly explained his behavior.
However, the court dismissed these claims, especially after Tomkins refused to allow his doctor to disclose medical records that could have substantiated his defense.
