LONDON MAN GETS LIFE FOR WIFE’S MURDER IN WEMBLEY HOME
Mikdat Sahpaz was found guilty of the murder of his wife, Elif Oruc, at their family residence in Wembley.
The fatal incident took place in July of the previous year, during which Sahpaz stabbed his wife and subsequently attempted to disguise the scene as a burglary.
Court proceedings revealed that Sahpaz, aged 46, had maintained a four-year affair with another woman.
His motive was linked to a desire for dominance over two jointly owned properties valued collectively at over one million pounds.
Sahpaz had lost his job at a Kurdish community centre located on Green Lanes, Haringey, back in 2006, and had little contact with his children.
The murder was deemed to stem from his extramarital relationship and his aim to control his family assets.
He received a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years, reflecting the gravity of his crime.
This case brought attention to broader issues of domestic violence, financial coercion, and controlling behavior, set against a backdrop of wealth and personal disputes.
