Yaxley Sexual Abuser
A man named Mickey Boots, aged 28, residing on London Road in Yaxley, has been handed a prison sentence exceeding four years after being found guilty of serious sexual misconduct involving a minor. The conviction stems from a disturbing series of communications and coercive acts carried out by Boots, which targeted a young girl and involved multiple forms of digital communication.

According to the investigation, Boots initiated contact with a 13-year-old girl through Snapchat, starting the conversation on March 18, 2023. During their exchanges, he falsely claimed to be 17 years old, despite being much older. The communication did not remain confined to Snapchat; it extended to WhatsApp, where Boots exerted pressure on the girl to perform sexual acts. He coerced her into touching herself and requested inappropriate images, which he also sent in return, further exploiting her vulnerability.

In a disturbing act of manipulation, Boots instructed the girl to save his contact information in her phone under the name 'daddy,' a term often used to establish a false sense of familiarity and control. The victim, overwhelmed and distressed by the ongoing abuse, eventually reported the incidents to Lancashire Police, prompting an investigation.

Law enforcement officers from Cambridgeshire responded swiftly, executing a search at Boots' residence and seizing electronic devices that contained evidence of his misconduct. During police interviews, Boots displayed signs of agitation and accused the officers of provoking him when recordings from his phone were played, revealing the extent of his inappropriate communications.

On June 23, 2025, at Peterborough Crown Court, Boots pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him. The court sentenced him to four and a half years in prison. Additionally, Boots was placed on an indefinite Sex Offenders Register, a measure intended to monitor and prevent further offenses.

Detective Inspector George Neal condemned Boots’ actions as profoundly vile and emphasized the critical importance of deterring such crimes. Neal underscored the need to protect children from the lasting psychological and emotional harm inflicted by offenders like Boots, reaffirming the commitment of law enforcement to pursue justice and safeguard vulnerable minors.
