MICHELLE MILLS AND GERAINT BERRY RECEIVE LENGTHY JAIL SENTENCES FOR MURDER PLOT
A wife and the man she was having an affair with Geraint Berry devised a plan to murder her husband, Christopher Mills.
They discussed options including poisoning, hiring a hitman, and staging a fake suicide.
In September last year, Berry and Steven Thomas burst into Mr Mills' caravan armed with gas masks, cable-tie handcuffs, and a fake suicide note, attempting to kill him.
Mr Mills managed to disarm the intruders, who fled.
Investigations uncovered gas masks and the fake suicide note in Berry's rucksack, along with messaging between Mills and Berry indicating a conspiracy to kill her husband.
Michelle Mills was sentenced to 19 years for conspiracy to murder and 18 months concurrently for perverting the course of justice.
She will serve two-thirds of the sentence in custody before release on licence.
