MIKK BELLAMY SHAMES BUCKFAST IN DYSART AND ATTACKS GIRLFRIEND IN KIRKCALDY
In a disturbing incident that unfolded in Dysart and Kirkcaldy, Mikk Bellamy, a 25-year-old resident of Holly Grove in Leven, found himself at the center of a serious altercation that culminated in legal action. The incident began when Bellamy was at a property on Cook Street in Dysart, where he was engaged in taking photographs of various bottles of Buckfast, a popular fortified wine.
Witnesses noted that Bellamy appeared to be arranging an assortment of Buckfast bottles, seemingly for the purpose of capturing images, although the exact reason for this activity was not clarified during court proceedings.
According to the prosecution, an argument erupted during this time, which quickly escalated.
Fiscal Depute Xander van der Scheer described the scene, stating, “The accused was arranging a variety of bottles of Buckfast to take a picture, for some reason.” The dispute intensified, with Bellamy beginning to shout loudly, creating a tense atmosphere in the vicinity.
During the confrontation, Bellamy’s behavior turned aggressive.
He reportedly placed his forehead close to that of his former partner, who was present at the scene.
In an attempt to defend herself or perhaps to create distance, she tried to slap Bellamy to get away from him.
Unfortunately, her attempt missed, resulting in her injuring her fingers.
The situation then took a violent turn when Bellamy responded by punching her in the body, which left her with reddening marks on her collarbone area.
Following the incident, Bellamy was taken to court where Sheriff Keith O’Mahony presided over the case.
Bellamy pleaded guilty to the charge of assault and was subsequently fined £400.
In addition to the financial penalty, the sheriff also issued a 12-month non-harassment order against Bellamy, effectively prohibiting him from contacting or approaching his former partner for a year.
Bellamy, who is employed as a night shift worker at Fife Fabrication Services, now faces the consequences of his actions, which have brought to light issues of violence and misconduct in the community.
The court’s decision underscores the seriousness with which such incidents are treated, especially when they involve domestic disputes and physical assault.
