Salford Child Sexual Abuser
In November 2012, Manchester Crown Court heard a case involving Michael Ward, a 26-year-old man from Salford, Manchester, who was found guilty of multiple sexual offences against children. Ward, who was unemployed at the time, was convicted of engaging in sexual activity with a child, indecent assault on a child, and sexual intercourse with a child. These charges pertain to two girls, both under the age of 16, with one girl being targeted from age eight until she turned 15.

Ward’s crimes came to light after one of his female victims reported her experiences to the police, leading to his arrest. Initially, Ward denied the allegations, but during a court appearance in October prior to his sentencing, he admitted to the charges, which spared his victims from testifying in court.

Following the conviction, Ward received a sentence of a three-year community order. He was also ordered to participate in a sex offenders' program and to be supervised by the probation service for a period of three years. Additionally, he is required to sign the sex offenders register for five years.
