WAKEFIELD PAEDOPHILE MICHAEL THORNTON ESCAPES JAIL DESPITE GROOMING AND ABUSING 13-YEAR-OLD SCHOOLGIRL
In a case that has shocked the local community of Wakefield, Michael Thornton, a man previously residing on Beancroft Road, narrowly avoided immediate imprisonment after admitting to serious sexual offenses involving a young girl.The court heard that Thornton, who was 22 years old at the time of the offenses, engaged in a disturbing pattern of grooming and abusing a 13-year-old schoolgirl, all while pretending to be a teenager himself.
According to court proceedings, the incident took place after the girl accepted a Facebook friend request from Thornton.
He then falsely claimed to be 16 years old, a deception that appeared to be part of his grooming strategy.
