Wendover Child Sexual Abuser
In a case that has garnered significant attention, Michael Shrimpton, a former judge and well-known critic of international affairs, has been embroiled in a serious criminal investigation centered around the possession of indecent images of young boys. The incident unfolded in Wendover, where authorities conducted a search of his residence in April 2012 following his own proactive contact with the Ministry of Defence.

Shrimpton, who has a history of outspoken commentary on global political issues and once served as an advisor to the Chilean dictator General Augusto Pinochet during his extradition battles in Britain, claims that the entire investigation is a fabrication orchestrated by secret service agents. He alleges that these agents planted child abuse images on his computer memory stick as part of a conspiracy to tarnish his reputation.

According to reports, the police search was initiated after Shrimpton contacted the Ministry of Defence to alert them about what he believed was an imminent threat involving a dirty nuclear bomb set to be detonated at the Olympic Games. During the search, officers seized multiple memory sticks, which they carefully bagged and labeled. Among these, only one device, found in a green glasses case placed next to his bed, was discovered to contain deleted files. Forensic analysis revealed that 40 of these files were indecent images of young boys.

Michael Shrimpton, aged 57 at the time, is a barrister and former immigration judge who notably advised Pinochet during his legal struggles in Britain in the 1990s. He was convicted and sentenced to a three-year supervision order, a five-year Sexual Offences Prevention Order, and was required to register as a sex offender due to possession of these indecent images.

Representing himself at the hearing held at Aylesbury Crown Court in Amersham, Shrimpton expressed his firm belief that intelligence agencies employed a sophisticated interception system known as G12. He claims this system was used to monitor the search of his home and to tamper with the evidence recovered. He further asserted that he can substantiate his credentials as an intelligence expert through a certificate he obtained after being flown to the USS Enterprise Navy aircraft carrier in 2006. Additionally, he stated that his address books contain direct contact numbers for various global intelligence agencies.

Prosecutor Richard Barton acknowledged that Shrimpton had indeed been aboard the USS Enterprise but challenged the claim that he was there as an intelligence specialist. Barton also confirmed that the laptop used to download the indecent images was not the same device seized by police. Shrimpton argued that the authorities lacked proper legal authority to confiscate his laptop and memory stick, emphasizing that his home also functions as his legal chambers and could contain sensitive, legally protected information.

Outside court, Shrimpton dismissed the case as a farcical attempt to discredit him for his outspoken views on political and intelligence issues. Speaking to the Bucks Herald, he stated, “With every respect to the CPS and TVP, this prosecution, based on an allegation of possession of a memory stick which has neither my fingerprints nor DNA on it, is a farce. TVP also admit my fingerprints are not on the laptop they have, which, absurdly, they claim is the one they unlawfully seized from my new home in April 2012.”

He further elaborated that he authored a comprehensive book titled “Spyhunter,” a 330,000-word text on intelligence matters, using his original laptop. He criticized the prosecution’s assertion that a device he had touched over a million times could be his, despite the absence of any fingerprint or DNA evidence linking him to it.

Throughout his career, Shrimpton has been outspoken on numerous controversial issues, including the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, the September 11 attacks, the Iraq war, and theories about government involvement in the sinking of the Titanic. Most recently, he claimed that Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 was shot down by a Chinese missile, continuing his pattern of provocative and conspiracy-oriented commentary.
