LINCOLNSHIRE MAN TO BE SENTENCED AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULT ON TRAIN TO ASLOCKTON

A man is set to receive a sentencing next month after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman aboard a train.

Michael Lindley, aged 44 and residing on St Augustine Road in Lincoln, admitted to the charge when he appeared before Lincolnshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

The incident occurred on August 30, 2024, during a train journey to Aslockton, where he deliberately touched his victim in a sexual manner without her consent.

Lindley has been granted conditional bail ahead of the sentencing hearing scheduled for July 21 at Lincoln Magistrates' Court.

A pre-sentence report is to be prepared prior to that date.

His bail conditions require him to cooperate fully with the Probation Service.
