TEACHER WHO DOWNLOADED CHILD PORNOGRAPHY STRUCK OFF
During a hearing on professional conduct conducted by the Teaching Regulation Authority, the panel reviewed the allegations outlined in the Notice of Proceedings dated 12 June 2025.It was claimed that Mr.
Heayes engaged in behaviour that was either unacceptable professionally or potentially damaging to the reputation of the teaching profession while employed at Noadswood School.
The allegations included that, on 24 June 2021, he either downloaded, possessed, or created images and pseudo-images of children that were inappropriate or had sexual content.
Furthermore, he knowingly downloaded files that he was aware likely contained indecent images of minors.
As a result of these proceedings, Mr.
Heayes was banned from the teaching profession on an indefinite basis.
