Update: Now released back to Llanelli February 2017 Man jailed for sexually abusing seven-year-old girl A 20-year-old Llanelli man who sexually assaulted a seven-year-old girl has been jailed for two and a half years. Michael Lee Gregory, of Ropewalk Road, had been due to stand trial at Swansea Crown Court after he denied six offences of sexual assault on a female child who was aged under 13 The offences took place between June, 2014, and June, 2015. But at the last moment he entered pleas of guilty. Paul Hobson, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court that in light of the pleas the prosecution would not proceed with three allegations of oral rape. Judge Paul Thomas entered formal verdicts of not guilty to those charges. Mr Hobson said Gregory stripped the girl and carried out a sex act on his victim. Judge Thomas said Gregory had simply ‘not cared’ what effect his offending would have on the girl or her family. Gregory was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender and banned from working with children after his release from prison.
