MICHAEL FLETCHER SENTENCED IN PEMBERTON FOR SERIOUS OFFENSES AGAINST CHILDREN

In March 2016, Michael Fletcher was sentenced to 22 years in prison after attempting to rape a two-year-old and sexually abusing other children over several years. His actions caused significant harm and he was classified as dangerous. Fletcher, who has mild learning difficulties, is expected to serve approximately two-thirds of his sentence and will be subject to lifelong notification requirements. At the time the offences came to light, he was residing in Pemberton.
